Hardware

The Imote2 is manufactured and distributed by MEMSIC. The Illinois SHM Project has created a sensor board that works with the Imote2 and the ISHMP Services Toolsuite that is designed specifically with the demands of SHM in mind.

Developed as part of the Illinois Structural Health Monitoring Project and availble from MEMSIC, the ISM400 sensor board is designed to interface with the Imote2 smart sensor platform. This versatile sensor board is tailored to structural health monitoring (SHM) applications and is capable of providing the information required for comprehensive infrastructure monitoring. The sensor board provides three axes of acceleration as well as light, temperature and humidity measurements. The 4-channel analog to digital converter (ADC) can accommodate the addition of one external analog input signal, e.g. strain measurement.
